A retrospective planning application was submitted for various garden buildings in Humshaugh.
An agent of Ludman Planning Ltd. submitted the application to Northumberland County Council to create three buildings at Woodpecker Lodge, Dunkirk, Humshaugh.
A greenhouse, a toolshed and a garden room have been proposed for the property's rear garden.

A statement submitted with the application said: "The garden itself is well screened from the road, and none of the buildings are readily visible, apart from the greenhouse, which is situated on the boundary that fronts onto the road. There is a good hedge, meaning that the garden generally is well-screened.
"None of the structures appear incongruous, and the development complies with policies set out in the Northumberland Local Plan for householder developments of this nature.
"There would be no amenity impact on neighbouring properties, and there would be no impact on the setting of any listed buildings nearby. The site is within the Hadrian’s Wall Buffer Zone, but again, the proposals do not conflict with the relevant policies for the historic environment."
