A councillor requested for a parking review to be conducted in a town centre.
Northumberland County Councillor Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, called for senior council officers to review the parking available in and around Front Street.
He said he requested the review because the town has grown, people are shopping locally at different times and more residents live on Front Street than previously.

Cllr Stewart said additional car parks won't be built, but hopes for 'smarter use of on and off street parking areas'.
He hopes the review will be completed by the end of the year.
Cllr Stewart said: "If the review indicates there will be significant changes, there will be consultation. I will encourage residents and Prudhoe businesses to consider and comment upon any changes proposed.
"It is hoped that it will improve the experience of people wishing to visit, working or living around Front Street and also assist local businesses, by creating handy bays for residents to ‘nip in and collect something’."
