The report said: "Children are pleased to see staff at the end of their school day. They arrive at the club happy and keen to join in activities. They demonstrate how confident they are in the group, for example, when they introduce themselves and their friends to visitors.

"There is an atmosphere of mutual respect in the club. Staff model good manners and courtesy at all times. Children are polite and considerate of one another and play together harmoniously. Older children enjoy the responsibility of being a 'buddy' to younger children. They help them to settle in to the club and encourage them to join in with games."

Leaders at the club, which provides out-of-school daycare, were praised for encouraging staff to engage in 'professional development opportunities' which positively impacted practice.

The report added safeguarding arrangements were 'effective' and 'there is an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts children's interests first'.
