THE A69 has fully reopened after three vehicles crashed earlier this morning near Heddon.

Northumbria Police officers and emergency services attended the scene and closed one lane to allow for vehicle recovery. 

Police records show the lane reopened at around 10am.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.45am today (Wednesday, August 14), we received a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A69 eastbound at Heddon-on-the-Wall."
