Russell Watson is set to perform at Hexham Abbey this November.

The British tenor is preparing to embark on the UK-wide Magnificent Buildings Tour.

The tour will see him performing at 19 locations, including Hexham Abbey on November 2.

He will be accompanied by Mike Moran, his pianist and arranger.

After a series of sold-out performances over the last year, this tour promises to be an 'unforgettable experience' for fans.

Mr Watson will also release his autobiography, ENCORE, on September 19.

The book details his journey of rehabilitation after battling two brain tumours.

It highlights the determination and resilience that helped him defy the odds, learn to sing again, and return to the stage.

The tenor said: "Performing in these magnificent venues is truly a dream come true.

"Each location has its own unique charm and history, which adds a magical element to every performance.

"No two shows are the same, which makes it incredibly exciting and humbling to be able to sing in these incredible settings."

Mr Watson is approaching the 25th anniversary of his debut album, The Voice.

His talent has earned him numerous awards, including four Classical Brit Awards.

The New York Times once described him as a performer "who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Sinatra."

He has released 10 studio albums, sold more than seven million albums worldwide, and performed for distinguished figures such as Her Majesty The Queen, The Pope, and two US Presidents.
