THE former MP for Hexham has welcomed his first daughter with his wife.
Guy Opperman posted on X on August 14 that his wife, Flora, had given birth to their baby daughter, Marina.

Guy and Flora sadly lost their newborn twins Rafe and Teddy during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in June 2020.
The couple also share their son, Kitto, who was born in 2022.
Mr Opperman was elected Hexham's MP in the 2010 general election and served the constituency for 14 years until the election on July 4.
The Labour candidate, Joe Morris, won the Hexham seat by a landslide victory in the election.Â
Mr Morris received 23,988 votes, compared to Mr Opperman who won 20,275 in the vote count which took place at Blyth.
Mr Opperman was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Roads and Local Transport in the November 2023 government cabinet reshuffle.
