Northumberland College has announced a 94 per cent pass rate for its technical qualifications.

Students at the college's Ashington and Kirkley Hall campuses collected their results and many have already accepted offers from leading universities, started new careers, or commenced higher-level apprenticeships.

Kirkley Hall, the highest-performing land-based college in the North of England, recorded 100 per cent achievement in Animal Management and Equine Management courses.

Notable successes include Animal Management student Beth Chandler-Norris, who achieved a triple Distinction* and will pursue a degree in Agriculture at university.

She said: "I was absolutely over the moon when I received my results. I couldn't be happier.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Kirkley Hall, it's been an amazing experience."

Other successful students include Katelyn Soden and Madison Milne, who have also secured places in further education or apprenticeships.

The college has recently invested millions into its Kirkley Hall campus to enhance its teaching facilities.

Lee Lister, Northumberland College Campus principal, said: "The outstanding Level 3 Technical results this year are testament to the student's dedication.

"I would like to thank the curriculum and student support teams who have tirelessly challenged, guided and supported our students to achieve this level of excellence."
