PLANS have been submitted to renovate the kitchen of a terraced home in Ovingham.
A planning application was submitted to Northumberland County Council by an agent from Design-Tec to build an extension and enlarge the kitchen of 27 Castle View, Ovingham.
The full proposed works were outlined in the heritage statement: "The proposed works are intended to increase the internal size to the rear of the property where the kitchen is undersized for the accommodation in the house.

"The intention is to increase the size of the kitchen and dining room and create an open-plan kitchen.
"The kitchen extension will be a single-storey infill to replace the existing boundary wall and draw level with the northernmost extent of the existing rear offshoot."
A new access door to the existing utility room will be created.
"The original timber balcony will be rebuilt, using architectural timber and reinstate a historical feature to the front elevation," it added.
The statement said using similar building materials will allow it to blend in with the existing house and the design will enhance the rear elevation.
