Newcastle's poet and theatre maker, Rowan McCabe will bring his unique Pop Up Poetry to the Queen's Hall Arts Centre in Hexham.
Making headlines across the UK and Europe, McCabe's work has been commissioned by BBC Radio 3, Channel 4 and the National Trust.
In the summer of 2023, Queen’s Hall invited Mr McCabe to be a poet in residence on Hexham high street.
Part of a public initiative, the project saw McCabe standing on Hexham high street with a large yellow sign reading Free Poems.
Participants picked a card with a keyword, and Mr McCabe would perform a short poem on the chosen subject.
He further encouraged interaction by leading a discussion and asking for suggestions for a new poem.
The upcoming exhibition is in result of the suggestions he received from his street audience.
The exhibition, which starts on September 6 and runs until October 12, is free to attend Monday to Saturday between 10am-12pm and 1-4pm.
The event is funded by the Hexham High Street Heritage Action Zone and voluntary donations are welcomed.
