WE asked our readers where the best places to get steak and chips in Hexham or Tynedale are.
Here are some of the best options for steak based on their recommendations.
Riverdale Hall Hotel Ltd, Bellingham was recommended by readers including Shelley Angel, Gemma Richardson and Clair Barron Rogerson.
Shelley said: "Massive potions, amazing sides and the chef certainly knows how to cook them to order. Then as a bonus, you have that amazing view over the North Tyne, dead canny staff and a selection of great tasting bevvies including the wonderful Doddie Beir, a huge range of gins and gluten-free beer."
The Rat Inn, Anick was also highly recommended. Keri Elizabeth Baptist said steaks were 'always cooked perfect' with homemade chips. "The Rat sauce is fab," she added.
Barbara Malcolmson, Hannah Cameron and Carol Shearer agreed.

North Acomb Farm Shop, Stocksfield was recommended by Laura Greene, who said: "Buy a rib-eye steak from North Acomb Farm Shop and cook it yourself. Best steak I've ever had."

One Google review said: "We had a prawn and crayfish cocktail, seared peach salad, perfectly cooked lamb steak with seasonal vegetables and a Cumberland sausage on perfect mash with greens, onions and gravy. We followed up with local ice cream. Service was warm, attentive and good-humoured."
