AN extension has been approved at a property in Haltwhistle.
A planning application was approved on September 2 to demolish an existing rear conservatory and erect a single-storey rear extension measuring 7.5m wide, 4m deep with a flat roof, and 3.2m high at Woodside, Comb Hill Road, Haltwhistle.
According to a delegated report, the plans will provide a 'modest-sized' extension and will have minimal impact on the area's visual amenity.
"The application proposes development that is domestic in nature within the residential curtilage of an existing dwellinghouse. The principle of development is therefore acceptable and in accordance with Policy HOU 9 of the Northumberland Local Plan and the NPPF," the report said.
Materials used would match the existing property.
Haltwhistle Town Council did not object to the application.
