Orchestra North East (ONE) is returning to Newcastle Cathedral for a night of much-anticipated classical music.
The concert is set to take place on September 21 at 7pm.
The cathedral, known for its great acoustics, elegance, and beauty, serves as an ideal setting for the orchestra's performance, offering a comfortable experience for both the musicians and the audience.
The evening's program will feature pieces from César Franck's Symphony in D Minor and Johannes Brahms's Piano Concerto No 1, conducted by the acclaimed Alexander Rebetge.
He studied music at the University of Arts in Berlin and has conducted the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
The Orchestra stated that they are looking forward to working with him.
Khrystyna Mykhailichenko, the remarkable soloist known for her extraordinary piano skills, is set to captivate the audience once again.
Ms Mykhailichenko impressed the ensemble in June 2023 with her performance of Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto.
Her performance was noted as one of the orchestra's most memorable concerts.
Tickets start from £1 for accompanied 16-year-olds and under, ranging up to £16 for a full-price ticket, the doors will open from 6.15pm.
Information on viewing, booking, and the performers can be found on the orchestra’s website.
