A POPULAR pub has been sold to new owners in a Tynedale village.
Christie & Co, a specialist business property adviser, announced the sale of The Black Bull, a pub with guest rooms in Wylam.
Dating back to 1868, the property was once a grocer and an abattoir and has long since been a popular destination for locals and tourists serving a selection of local beers, drinks and food.

With eight newly refurbished guest rooms available, the pub also acts as an excellent base to enjoy activities in Wylam and the surrounding region.
The previous owner is now looking forward to retiring after almost 20 years at the helm.
Marslie McGregor, business agent at Christie & Co. who handled the sale, said: “We are delighted to announce The Black Bull has been sold to another local operator. The property was marketed for £625,000 and generated significant interest. We have no doubt that the new owner will ensure the pub remains a local favourite and continue to build on the strong foundations laid by the previous owner.”
