Haydon Bridge's community library, 'The Bridge' building on Church Street, has undergone a revamp to increase services and events.
Since reopening 15 years ago, it has been a staple of the village but after a temporary closure due to Covid-19, changes were made to allow not only for the return of full county library services but also for the introduction of new activities.
The community is invited to a fun open event on September 21, from 10am to 4pm, to see what's on offer.
Between free children's craft activities, Lego, storytelling, a cake stall, plant sales, a history photo quiz, advice from the Community Bank, and demonstrations from regular groups like Knit and Natter, there's something for everyone.
Visitors can also enjoy a free tea or coffee.
The volunteers are eager for ideas about future services, so pop by and voice your thoughts.
