Western Tynedale is readying for the 36th Annual Art & Craft Fair in Haltwhistle.

With less than two months to go, the fair is already more than two thirds booked, prepping to take over the town's Masonic Hall on Banks Terrace for one day only.

Stall holders from all over the northern region and southern Scotland are poised to exhibit a diverse range of crafts on November 2, between 10am and 4pm.

The 'comfortable, modernised' Masonic Hall isn't far from Main Street, featuring disabled access and easy-to-follow signage for the event.

Goods such as candles, hand knitting, crochet products, paintings, pencil drawings, prints, decoupage and wax melts will be available.

There will also be bath bombs, soap, cards for all occasions, embroidered bags, dreamcatchers, painted glass, fudge, festive products and many other gifts and accessories.

Event organiser Ian Brown will have his CDs and video ukulele lessons available for purchase.

Shoppers can also round off the experience with homemade refreshments available all day, for a catch-up chat between browsing.

The longest-running, and likely one of the largest, art and craft fairs in Tynedale, the event takes place when people are thinking about getting Christmas presents sorted.

The fair gives people from the area a chance to see what creative talent can be found on their doorstep.

The town, nestled in Roman Wall country, encourages visitors to explore its natural and historic attractions.
