Muro Lounge in Hexham is celebrating the completion of another successful LoungeAid month, raising £1,000 for Tanga.

The annual initiative, which involves Lounges across the UK, has collectively raised £158,839 this year.

Lounges is known for connecting with and supporting local communities, and this year was no exception.

The month-long fundraising initiative is a highlight in their community calendar and involves all Lounges across the UK.

Gemma Irwin, head of community for the Lounge brand, said: "This year’s LoungeAid has been the best ever.

"We’re absolutely delighted to have raised such an amazing amount of money to support 215 charities and causes in the communities we serve.

"We encourage our Lounges to raise money and support good causes all year round.

"We choose to support local, rather than national, charities because we want to help tackle the issues which are important to the neighbourhoods where we trade."

LoungeAid was established in 2015 and is Loungers’ largest charity event, uniting all teams across the UK in a month-long fundraising initiative.

The company has raised almost half a million pounds for local causes since LoungeAid was founded.
