A BUSINESS owner said this year has been her busiest yet and has a 'strong following' of loyal clients.

Toni Robson, who lives in Hexham, owns Revitalise Hexham and said she started the business 14 years ago because she wanted to help people feel their best.

The business was nominated this week's Trader of the Week by Susan Sibbald, who said: "Toni Robson does the best complementary therapies and sports massage for miles around in the centre of Hexham."

David Rosbotham also nominated Toni's business: "Outstanding service, fantastic treatments and all-round superb local business."

Toni said: "I was a keen gym user at Wentworth Leisure Centre and I often saw people with injuries and aches and pains, including myself and I wanted to be able to help the local community."

She offers sports massages, and complementary therapies including Swedish massages, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage massages, reflexology and Indian head massages plus eyelash extensions.

Speaking of being nominated as Trader of the Week, Toni said: "It's really great to have the recognition and support from people, it was a nice surprise I wasn't expecting.

"People have very stressful lives at times and just having a bit of time out from their busy schedule to look after themselves and have a bit of 'me time' is very important and positive for people's mindset. A lot of the sports massages I do are for athletes or for people enjoying their fitness journey and it helps them to allow them to continue doing what they love.

"Whatever the reason for any massaging, it encourages positive mental health and that's something I like doing for people," Toni said.

She also said she enjoys meeting new people and hearing about their life experiences.

"I'm very lucky I have a successful business, this year has by far been my busiest year yet. I have my loyal regular clients to thank for that, I have a regular influx of new clients too.

"I absolutely love my job, and I love that I can help people and make them feel better, whether it's for an injury, muscle tension or just relaxation. The main thing is about helping people. I've got a really strong following and I'm really happy with the way things are going with the business."

Revitalise Hexham, based at 10 Church Row, is open Tuesday to Thursday from 9am until 9pm and 9am until 5pm on Friday.
