Large crowds turned out for the annual Ponteland Duck Race despite poor weather.
The event took place in Ponteland Park on Sunday, September 1, and is estimated to have raised more than £3,000 for The Dragonfly Cancer Trust, who provide support to young cancer patients and their families.
Jane Dennison, CEO of The Dragonfly Cancer Trust, opened the event.
The Children's Boat Race was won by eight-year-old Neave, who received a trophy and certificate from the Mayor, Councillor Karen Overbury.
Rotary president, John Cooper, said: "Rotary Ponteland were pleased to be able to stage this very popular family event once again supported by a large group of 'Rotary Friends'.
"It was fantastic to see so many happy faces in our wonderful park."
The event was supported by Newcastle Airport, Ponteland Town Council, and more than 30 businesses from the area.
These businesses either sponsored a boat in the business boat race, donated raffle prizes, or offered their services free of charge.
Rotary Ponteland are facing increasing challenges to stage this annual event.
