HYGIENE ratings have been handed to several businesses in Tynedale, according to the Food Standards Agency's website.

Restaurants, cafes or canteens

  • Princess Garden Restaurant at 1-3 Brewery Lane, Ponteland, was rated four after assessment on August 7.

  • Elkwater, at 33-35 Broadway, Darras Hall, Ponteland was rated five after assessment on September 3.

  • Shortflatt Tower, at Belsay, Northumberland was scored five on July 1.

  •  Buongiorno at 20-22 St Marys Chare, Hexham, was rated five on August 21.

    Pubs, bars and nightclubs

    • The Manor House Inn at Slaley, was rated five on September 4.

    • Travellers Rest at Hexham, was rated five on August 21.
