A total of £5000 was raised for Prostate Cancer UK at the Alston Moor Open annual golf tournament.
Packing in 70 golfers on a clear autumn day, the tournament, which was held on September 6, included donations, fees and raffles, contributing to the total.
Paul Nash, co-organiser and cancer survivor from Play2Support, now boasts over £20,000 raised for the cause.
Mr Nash is a prostate cancer survivor, who is now a volunteer helping to assess research projects for future funding.
He knows better than most how this money supports important diagnosis and treatment work.
Mr Nash extended a special thanks to essity, Prudhoe Mill for the generous donation of 1350 toilet rolls that alone generated over £500.
