The Climate Cafe will return to Hexham library with a focus on food later this month.
The gathering will take place on Saturday, September 28 at 11am, concentrating on healthy and sustainable food choices, and backing local farmers and producers.
This forms part of a larger initiative, 'The Food Conversation', facilitated by the Food, Farming and Countryside Commission.
The UK-wide project seeks practical and radical solutions to ongoing climate, nature, health, and economic challenges.
Jude and Ed from Hexham, who participated in the first regional assembly, will discuss various issues related to the food system.
They will also share experiences from the citizen's assembly, where they were randomly selected to discuss these matters with people from diverse backgrounds.
The cafe will also serve as a platform for socialising, planning, and exploring the library's collection of climate-related books.
The Climate Cafe will continue on the fourth Saturday of every month.
