An international event will take place in Hexham this week.
The Great Global Greyhound Walk will return to Tynegreen Riverside Park on September 29.
The charity walk will be followed by a fun dog show, showcasing the 'fantastic, loving, calm, versatile' nature of greyhounds.
Last year, the Hexham event saw 200 dogs participating, making Northumberland Greyhound Rescue one of the top walks, finishing second in the UK and third worldwide.
Internationally, 11,818 sighthounds walked across 458 walks in 36 countries.
The Hexham event follows a circular walk by the river and green.
All participants receive a certificate, with spot prizes during the walk.
The event includes a raffle, tombola, name the cuddly greyhound, a sausage catch, and a truffle hunt.
Organiser Jenny Thomas said: "This event not only gives the chance for everyone to meet old friends but highlights the special bond greyhounds make when given the opportunity of a new life in their forever homes.
"This afternoon is an absolute winner, back at the Northumberland kennels greyhounds are still waiting and dreaming for that special home."
Anyone with a greyhound or sighthound is welcome to join the event, which is free and does not require pre-registration.
Attendees are asked to arrive by 1.30pm for a 2pm start.
