The Corsenside Parish Show in West Woodburn was a hit this year with impressive displays of produce, crafts, and flowers.

The show, which took place on September 21, saw 'beautiful' exhibits in the flower classes.

His efforts earned him the trophy for the most points in the vegetable and flower classes.

Nicholas Bown received an award for the best pot plant.

The baking, jams, and drinks classes also saw a good range of entries.

Maureen Johnson was awarded trophies for the best exhibit and most points across these classes.

She also won the new George Dent 'Spirit of the Show' Memorial trophy for the most entries across all classes in the show.

Ms Johnson said: "George was such a great supporter of the show for many, many years and I’m thrilled to win this trophy in his memory.

"I’m sure there’ll be lots of people competing for it next year."

Barbara Gibson won the trophy for the best savoury pie, while Caroline Currie took home the cup for the best needlework exhibit.

In the children's classes, Freya Robson was the proud winner of the Tom Hughes Junior Cup for most points.

The newly introduced scarecrow competition was won by youngsters Nyala and Roan.

The annual pairs quoits competition was won by Natalie Bratchvogel and Billy Findler.

Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and the Army Cadets were present with a fire engine and climbing wall, respectively.

These attractions, along with a bouncy castle and face painter, entertained the visitors.

The charity tombola raised £200 for Motor Neurone Disease.

Visitors also had the opportunity to learn more about organisations such as the Redesdale Archaeological Group, Friends of Corsenside, and the North Tyne & Redesdale Partnership.

The show committee extended their congratulations to all the winners and thanked everyone who supported the show.

Fundraising for next year's show will begin with a darts and dominoes evening and Christmas raffle at The Gun, Ridsdale, on December 7, starting at 7.30pm.
