Television presenter, writer and broadcaster Kate Humble is set to share her latest culinary venture as part of her book tour.
Kate will visit the Queen's Hall, Beaumont Street, Hexham, on Saturday, November 16, at 8pm.
The event, presented by the Hexham Book Festival, will have Kate discussing her newest cookbook, Home Made: Recipes from the Countryside.
The book celebrates the people who make and grow the food we eat, featuring stories from 20 individuals and more than 60 simple, quick and fuss-free meals.
Kate said: "This book gave me the wonderful opportunity to meet some truly inspiring artisan makers, growers and producers.
"It is a book of ideas, dreams, stories and food and was a joy to write.
"I hope you enjoy it."
Kate is the author of five books, including Thinking On My Feet, A Year of Living Simply and Home Cooked.
She is a keen advocate for the environment, nature conservation and rural affairs, and is president of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust.
Kate also founded Humble by Nature, a rural skills centre on her farm in Wales.
Tickets for the event start at £10. Carers are entitled to free 'essential companion' tickets.
Wheelchair spaces are limited and should be booked directly at the Queen's Hall Box Office.
