Caroline Harris said: "She works as a carer who has lots of enthusiasm and enjoys what she does and always has a smile on her face."
Zara, originally from Acomb, recently moved to Haydon Bridge with a friend.
"I’ve been working at Natural Ability for about a year," she said.
Based at West Orchard House on Allendale Road in Hexham, Natural Ability offers activities, outings, and services such as day farming, which offers people the chance to try land-based skills, horticulture, environmental work and animal care.
It also organises a weekly walking group and its latest offering, named The Orchard.
This provides service users the opportunity to build skills, learn, and participate in social circles and events.
Zara said Natural Ability also offers a kitchen for people to use at its base on Allendale Road, a sensory room, a garden, an IT room and a life skills area for people to develop themselves individually, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually and empowers them to thrive in the community.
"I’m very proud to be a part of the wonderful day service and independent supported living team," Zara said.
The ISL team supports young adults and adults over 18, helping them lead fulfilling lives in their homes.
"I spend time when I’m doing support work at the Torch Centre and the team there is really good. I have also just started doing some one-to-one work at the day service."
