A record 178 greyhounds and sighthounds attended a charity walk and show.
The Great Global Greyhound event took place at Tyne Green in Hexham on Sunday, September 29, with the turnout ensuring that the town will be one of the top walks worldwide.
The event is part of a global initiative to promote the breed.
Jenny Thomas, organiser, said: "This event really gives the opportunity for people to see what fantastic, loving, calm, versatile pets greyhounds make."
Participants were thrilled with the day's activities.
One attendee said: "They are such lovely-natured dogs.
"We had a fabulous day; it was so impressive all walking together.
"It really is a truly global greyhound day with so many countries taking part, but Hexham should be proud, showing Northumberland at its best."
The event was themed around flags, highlighting its international significance.
The sun shone on the walkers, who were rewarded with certificates, spot prizes, and rosettes.
Homemade treats were also provided for the dogs.
Northumberland Rescue greyhounds, who participated in the event, are hopeful of finding new homes after the event.
The event raised over £1,260 for Northumberland Greyhound Rescue.
Organisers were grateful for the generosity of sponsors and participants.
