HOME office plans were submitted for a home in Bardon Mill.
An agent from Ascent Design submitted an application to the Northumberland National Park Authority to convert two existing outbuildings into a new home office at Gallowshield Rigg Farm, north of Bardon Mill, in the National Park.
The design and access statement said: "The proposed development aims to provide additional accommodation to the owners while respecting the tranquillity of the location and the architectural heritage of the property."
The proposal retains the buildings' original features including stone quoins and natural slate roofs.
The building will provide office space for the residents of Gallowshield Rigg.

"The road layout will remain as existing with no changes to vehicular or pedestrian traffic proposed. An existing private road runs past the southern end of the property and this will not be affected," the statement said.
The proposed alterations to the outbuildings represent 'low impact development' and would not be visible from the open countryside, it concluded.
