AN independent ladieswear and accessories shop has opened in Corbridge.
Sarah Thomson opened her second clothing store, also named Sarah Thomson, on Middle Street on September 12.
She has owned the clothing business for 26 years and lives in the Scottish Borders.
Sarah said: "I still live in the Borders, I've got a shop in Melrose and this is the second shop we've opened in Corbridge."
Sarah runs the business with her daughter, Lucy Thomson, who helped to design the website.
"I've always loved Corbridge, I think it's a lovely place and I think it's quite a similar place to Melrose. We also get a lot of customers that come to us in Melrose from Corbridge and Hexham way, so it seemed like a natural progression for us.
"Everyone's been so kind and lovely, it's been great," Sarah said. "We sell brands that you can't get everywhere, we've got knitwear from New Zealand and France. Once something's gone, it's gone, we've constantly got new things coming in."

She described the clothing they sell as very 'wearable' and 'classic'.
"You could still be wearing it in five or six years, it's a little bit different, it's not stuff you're seeing everywhere. I think that's really important because people want to see something different."
The shop sells accessories including scarves, hats, jewellery, handbags and gift ideas, such as hot water bottles and eye masks.
"We've had a really positive response, everyone has been so kind."
Speaking of why she wanted to open the business nearly three decades ago, Sarah said: "I'd always worked in retail and we'd been living in Edinburgh.
"We moved down to the Borders and there wasn't anything where I wanted to work and there wasn't much in the way of ladies' clothes shops, so we decided to set up our own.
"Feedback has been great, everyone seems to like what we've done. They like the way we've done it all out and the fact it's something a little bit different."
