Halloween is approaching and with that comes the chance for families to get involved in fun-filled activities, including pumpkin picking.
Summer is long gone, just admit it, so the only thing we can do now is embrace the autumnal delights.
For that matter, Halloween is perfect.
Currently, we can only see one place in or near Hexham that currently has pumpkin patches but don't worry, you are still spoilt for choice (90,000 of them, to be exact).

- 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday - Saturday
- 10:00am to 4:00pm, Sunday (breakfast and shop browsing open from 9:30am)
- Last hot food orders in Courtyard Kitchen 60 minutes before closing.
Their website states: "We grow over 90,000 pumpkins of various shapes, sizes and colours here on the Farm, all of which are edible as well as decorative.
"Varieties include Flatso (flat with big ridges), Hoargarth (super warty) and One Too Many (animal print style patterned skin), as well as the Crown Price (blue/grey), Mellow Yellow, Polar Bear (white) and Big Loretta (a big orange classic!)"
Your ticket includes entry to the Pumpkin Patch, lots of Halloween photo opportunities, the Pumpkin marquee where you have the option to Pimp Your Own Pumpkins (kits available at an additional cost).
Or head over to their Food Village where you can purchase marshmallows and toast them over firepits and enjoy fresh food and drinks from a range of local food vendors.

The booking fee does not include any pumpkins, you pay for the pumpkins you pick, priced by size, on exit.
Every person attending aged 3+ needs a reservation, children under 3 do not. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Bookings are non-refundable - please check your booking thoroughly before proceeding.
