A nature competition is giving UK schools the chance to win cash prizes to fund eco-friendly projects.

Schools can apply for a share of the £13,000 prize pot by explaining how they would like to bring their students closer to nature.

The competition, run by Let's Go Zero with OVO Foundation, will award ten £1,000 prizes and fifteen £200 prizes.

Alex Green, head of Let's Go Zero, said: "Schools are key places to enact and inspire change in the next generation, as well as the wider community, so this competition is a great boost to schools to put their ideas into action."

Ms Green's call to action encourages schools to create beautiful places for children to play and learn.

The competition, not limited to nature conservation, welcomes entries related to food, adaptation and resilience, water, culture, or waste management.
