An accordionist who performed for King Charles III is set to play in Hexham.
Ryan Corbett, who played at the Scottish coronation service last year, will perform at the Queen's Hall Arts Centre on Tuesday, October 22.
The musician is considered one of the most exciting young accordion players, having won the gold medal at the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition in 2021.
He was also named as one of Classic FM's rising stars for 2024.
Joan Peugniez, chair of the Hexham and District Music Society, said: "This is the first time we’ve hosted a solo accordion concert.
"The composer, Sir James MacMillan, has praised Ryan as ‘one of the most astonishing and surprising newcomers in Scottish music’ and we can’t wait to hear him play."
The concert will begin at 7.30pm.
The programme will include Mr Corbett's own arrangements of Grieg’s Holberg Suite and Tchaikovsky’s Children’s Album, as well as music by Bach and Liszt.
He will also play two short pieces written specially for the accordion by Franck Angelis and Vladislav Zolotaryov.
Edinburgh Music Review described a recent concert by Mr Corbett as a "revelation".
Mr Corbett himself told The Scotsman newspaper that people still come up to him and "say that they’ve never heard music like this on an accordion".
Tickets for the concert are on sale at the Queen's Hall box office.
Reduced-price season tickets for the remaining five concerts in the music society’s series are also available directly from www.hexhammusic.net.
