A Hexham man has been sentenced for fraud.
Stephen Laverick, who was born on September 1 1969, was sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court on October 9.
He received a custodial period of 13 months suspended for two years, rehabilitation activities for 20 days and compensation orders of £7,838.
Laverick, of Bondgate Close NE46 1DF, was sentenced on five counts and pleaded guilty to all five: fraud by false representation twice, theft from the person of another twice and fraud by abuse of position.
