An annual bonfire event will return to a village next week.
The event, which first started in 2021, will take place on the Acomb playing field on Friday, November 1.
Organised by community volunteer Paul Robinson, alongside the Women's Institute and Action for Acomb, the event will start at 6.30pm and finish at 8pm.
The event has grown in popularity since it first began, boasting a large bonfire, a fireworks display, and food catering from the recently refurbished sports pavilion.
The event was originally intended to be a one-off, but due to its popularity, it has been held every year since.
It was first started by a small group of friends, including Mr Robinson, who contacted the parish council to work towards putting together an event for the community.
Mr Robinson said: "It’s a cracking night and great for community spirit, wrap up warm, throw on some wellies and come along for the show."
