A 'wild and beautiful' beach in Northumberland has been declared the best beach in the following a survey of almost 5000 people.
The Northumberland Coastal Route is often cited as a walker's - and driver's - dream, so it was no surprise to us when one particular beach was named the best.
In a survey conducted by consumer champion Which? They asked over 4,700 individuals about their experiences in UK seaside towns within the past year to determine the winner.
Participants were asked to share their opinions on various criteria, including beach quality, food and drink options, value for money, and tourist attractions.

Visitors have been left awestruck by Bamburgh's "magnificent" and "totally unspoiled" beach, with some hailing it as "probably the most impressive in the British Isles" and giving the village top marks for its pristine beach, scenic seafront, and tranquil atmosphere.
It’s worth any difficulty in the journey, but for those who are unable to get to the beach – you can at least visit the magnificent Bamburgh castle, which overlooks the sands.
Bamburgh, Boulmer and Beadnell beaches can all be reached on the Northumberland Coastal Route, which was recently voted as one of the most scenic roads in Northumberland.
