A Prudhoe heating engineer has been praised as an 'outstanding installer' by the Heating Installer Awards.
Craig Gilhome was recognised for his 'customer service, excellent installations, and commitment to providing the best products.'
The Heating Installer Awards, which is now in its 10th year, celebrates the best of the UK's heating engineers and has just opened entries for the 2025 competition.
The awards aim to spark a positive discussion in the industry and give deserving heating engineers the recognition their work often lacks.
The North East region, in particular, has seen some remarkable winners in past years, who have gained exposure for their business, attracted new clients, and made connections with major industry brands.
Previous winners include; Frankie Barea of Elite Heat in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Matthew Stoves of Nigel Stoves Plumbing & Heating Ltd in Stockton-on-Tees and Jason Enright of Enright Environmental in Blaydon-on-Tyne.
The search is now on for the region's best heating installers for 2025.
The finalists will be decided by a panel of industry experts, professional bodies, and trusted installers.
This panel will assess the entries based on 'outstanding results, problem-solving skills, knowledgeable product selection, excellent customer service, and technical expertise.'
The regional winners are set to be announced in April 2025, and will then compete for the national Heating Installer Awards title in June at Birmingham NEC.
The awards also recognise standout installers in categories like Sustainability, HVAC, and apprentices or learners in the Rising Stars category.
The awards are backed by The IPG, Polypipe Building Products, Powered Now, Samsung Climate Solutions, Stelrad, CIPHE, and Refresh.
They are free to enter and offer heating installers a 'unique opportunity' to display a project that exemplifies excellent results, customer service, and technical expertise.
With the awards reaching their 10-year milestone, there are also plans for new additions to the Heating Installer Awards calendar, with more details to be announced soon.
To enter, heating installers and apprentices can visit the Heating Installer Awards website and submit their application.
Entries can also be made over the phone by calling 0161 871 1188.
