Northumbria Police's annual Pride in Policing Awards took place on Thursday, October 10, at Wylam Brewery in Newcastle.
The Bravery and Lifesaver Award was given to Police Constable Will Hunter - featured on Motorway Cops - in recognition of his response to an unexpected attack during a routine stop.
Detective Sergeant Kate Barr was named Police Officer of the Year for her role as a volunteer negotiator.
The role has seen DS Barr deployed to more than 200 incidents, many of which involved people in crisis.
Chief Constable Vanessa Jardine said: "It was a real honour to recognise the amazing contributions being made by our officers, staff, and volunteers as we strive to provide an outstanding service.
"We should all be proud of the difference they are making to keep us safe and ensuring we are there when needed.
"The qualities and values they display are an inspiration to everyone."
Other winners included Police Community Support Officer Michael Baker for his work tackling neighbourhood crime, and Detective Sergeant Dave Lumsden, who recently retired after 30 years of service and was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Team of the Year Award (non-operational) went to the Fleet Department, which manages and services 800 vehicles for the Force.
