Hexham is buzzing with activity this November, offering a variety of events and attractions for all ages.
Here's a summary of what's on:
All Month
Visitors can explore Hexham Abbey daily from 10am to 4pm, with the exception of service times.
The Forum Cinema is open seven days a week, and the Queen's Hall offers free exhibitions but is closed on Sundays.
Hexham Fireworks
On Saturday, November 2, at 7pm, The Sele will host the annual Hexham Fireworks display.
Cinema, Theatre and Music
The Forum Cinema presents The Phantom of the Opera on Sunday, November 3, at 7pm, and The Crime is Mine on Tuesday, November 5, at 7pm.
The Queen's Hall Theatre will see Martin Fry performing on Sunday, November 3, at 7.30pm.
They also welcome The Cramlington Train Wreckers on Sunday, November 10 at 2pm and 7.30pm as well as The Watch House - Papatango on the 13th and 14th of November.
Other Queen's Hall guests include Kate Humble: Home Cooked on Saturday, November 16 at 8pm, Dreamcoat Stars: A Musical Christmas on Sunday, November 18 at 7.30 pm and A Very Simple Mind On Tour: Derek Forbes on Thursday, November 21 at 7.30pm.
Hexham Abbey will welcome the Tyne Valley Big Band at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 9 and Christmas at the Movies by Candlelight on Saturday, November 23 at 7.30pm.
Market and Music
Hexham Farmers' Market on Saturday, November 9, from 9am to 1.30pm in the Market Place and Abbey Flags.
This is followed by another Hexham Farmers' Market event on Saturday, November 23, from 9am to 1.30pm in the same spot.
The Monthly Indoor Market at Hexham Abbey will be open from 10am to 3pm on the same day.
Remembrance Day
The town will mark Remembrance Day at the War Memorial on Sunday, November 10, from 10.15am.
Exhibitions and Parades
The Hexham Art Club Exhibition will run from November 16 to 23, from 10am to 4pm at the Old Gaol.
The Hexham Lantern Parade will take place on Friday, November 15, at 6pm.
Christmas Festivities
The Christmas Lights Event will be held on Friday, November 22.
Live music begins at 4.30pm at the Bandstand, followed by Father Christmas switching on the Christmas Lights and the Christmas Tree from 5.30pm to 6pm.
From 6pm, the Market Place will host a brass band and offer festive treats.
Many of Hexham's shops will have late opening hours, and the Christmas Trail will be launched.
The Rival Arts Christmas Fair will be at Wentworth Leisure Centre on November 23 and 24, from 10am to 4pm.
Father Christmas will be at the Old Gaol from November 30 until December 22.
With such a range of activities, Hexham offers something for everyone this November.
