Here's what they said.

Clare Campbell said: "Yes or silent ones only available to the public."

Carol Ilse Anne said: "It's no longer just Bonfire Night is it? There are endless festivals that demand fireworks, then there are weddings, parties etc. It goes on continually round our way from before November 5, until well into the New Year."

Hilary Nergaard said they should be banned and Tina Gair said: "Absolutely, and sold only to organised displays."

Angela Cairns said: "Yes, organised displays and quieter."

Ema Lou Hawk said: "Yes then big displays will be more magical and it's safer for all."

Many other readers including Tracy Whitfield Scandle, Kerrie Loughhead, Liz Hardwick and Morgan Hinds agreed.
