The town's spooky window competition was hotly contested with more than 60 businesses participating.

Hexham Community Partnership organises Hexham's annual Spookiest Shop Windows competition as part of Spook Night, and presents prizes to all winners.

Runners up Lolla MacRunners up LollaMac (Image: LollaMac) Two of Hexham's newest retailers took the top prizes: the winner was Lore and Handmade by Lolla Mac was the runner-up. Pure Plants and Pretty Flamingo shared third place.

The competition was judged by the chair of Hexham Community Partnership, Neil Wilkinson, who said: "I was incredibly impressed by the creativity on show around town.

Neil Wilkinson gave special mentions to the spooky windows from last year. The overall winner in 2023 was The Secret Salon.

Others mentioned were Gateway Into the Community, Elliott Architects, Small World Café, Le Petit Salon with Minerva, The Victorian Tap, Hare's Barbers, G Wallace Flooring, The Hairdressers, Workspace Hexham, Pattinson estate agents, Andrew Coulson estate agents, Sage Wealth Management, The Natural Grocer, Matthias Winter and S&S Attire.
