A Tynedale author has launched a new book after her first two prove popular.
Kimberley Adams released her third book, 'The Christmas Angel of the North' after being surprised by the response to her first two 'Love Lindisfarne' novels.
The romantic comedies have received many five-star reviews and built up a 'strong readership'.
Ms Adams said: "I’ve been staggered by the response my books have had.
"My instinct was that readers of this genre would enjoy books set in the Northeast, it’s such a special place."
The new book is set in Newcastle and Ms Adams describes it as a 'festive frolic'.
She said: "It’s very much a romantic comedy."
"The northern characters are warm and full of fun because that’s just how we are in this part of the world!"
Felton-based artist Sarah Farooqi creates the covers for her books.
Ms Adams said: "Sarah and I worked together to come up with visual representations of the stories inside the books.
"The covers are stunning and really catch the eye, and this new book is no exception."
The book is available in numerous independent outlets across Northumberland and on Amazon.
