A DOG rescue received a funding boost to support its vital work.
Northumberland Dog Rescue, based in Morpeth, received a £1,000 funding boost as part of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards to support the vital work it does locally.
The £1,000 donation made as part of the Movement for Good Awards will go towards much-needed maintenance of their rescue kennels. Due to the charity being small, it struggles to access funding for simple day-to-day repairs and improvements, so this will enable its volunteers to complete projects including repairing kennels, replacing fencing and creating a safe play space for dogs that need to spend time in isolation.

For the sixth year running, Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards is giving away over £1 million to charities across the year and invites members of the public to nominate causes close to their hearts.
Northumberland Dog Rescue is a small charity that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs across Northumberland. They are seeing a surge of dogs needing rehoming, often with complex health and/or behavioural problems.
