Floral demonstrators shared their Christmas-themed creations at a recent Whitley Chapel event.
Floral experts, Sarah Sparke and Gemma Common, provided festive inspiration at Whitley Chapel Parish Hall, showing a range of unique arrangements including a wreath adorned with empty shotgun cartridges.
The demonstration, held on November 8, was organised by the Moorland Group of WI’s and drew substantial interest from members of the Slaley, Hexhamshire, Shotley, Langley, Newton & Bywell, and Whitfield groups.
Ms Sparke's daughter, Imogen, assisted by showcasing the floral masterpieces to the attendees.
Among the popular items were a striking basket arrangement and a light-up bottle with flowers at the base.
The latter especially captured the interest of attendees, who were encouraged by the demonstrators to replicate the idea at home.
Magic water beads, which are now playfully referred to as 'frogspawn' by the group, were also a hit.
The evening, which offered supper and a glass of wine during the break, concluded with the raffle of the floral creations, bringing home some luck for a few attendees.
