Celebrations are planned to honour the historic Blanchland Abbey this weekend.
Founded in 1165, the site will be the focal point of the Abbey Alive & Artisan Maker Market, unveiling its treasures and stories on Saturday, November 23, and Sunday, November 24.
The event will showcase the archaeology and research conducted this year as part of the Abbey Alive project, alongside future plans for the popular visitor attraction.
Attendees can look forward to live music, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts such as stained glass making, wood carving, textiles, metal embossing, and calligraphy.
Specialists, including Megan Barnett, Kate Hunter, and Chris Bowen, will be present on Saturday, offering hands-on opportunities for visitors.
Folk musicians Julie & William will perform on Saturday from 11am.
There will also be a special 2pm appearance by Consett Academy students, who have collaborated with singer-songwriter Katie Doherty on a song about Blanchland.
Sunday will see more craft demonstrations, with Jenny Hammond and Louise Goult joining the roster.
The Allendale Handbell Ringers will provide music from 11am, with visitors welcome to join in.
The weekend will also host the Christmas Artisan Makers Market, featuring a variety of stalls in the village hall and Lord Crewe Gatehouse.
