A free festival of nativity scene cribs from around the world is set to take place this December.
The Crib Festival at St Peter’s Church, Humshaugh, is now an annual event, having first been held in 2022.
The festival sees nativity scene cribs loaned by families displayed in the church.
The cribs come in all shapes, sizes, materials, and colours, and originate from all over the world.
Last year, around 70 cribs were on display, and organisers hope to increase this number year by year.
The festival will take place on December 14 and December 15 this year, with the cribs on display on the Saturday between 10 am and 4pm.
Preparations will take place on Thursday, December 12, and anyone who would like to display a crib is asked to bring it to the church between 3 pm and 6pm that day.
If the crib has a particular history or story behind it, a small piece of writing telling the story can be added.
On Sunday, December 15, there will be a family service at 11 am.
They will again be on display, and can then be taken away after the service.
Also at the festival will be a Christmas memory tree, where people can remember a loved one by writing their name on a bauble to decorate the tree.
Liz Campbell, who is organising the festival, said: "This has proved to be a wonderful start to the Christmas period and we would welcome both more cribs and more visitors.
"We have been amazed at how quickly this has grown from being a small idea to something that people really look forward to.
"We are hoping that this year will be even more successful than the last two."
Entrance to the festival is free.
