Formerly based in Newcastle, 2Pure Products has moved its headquarters to Prudhoe.
The move means that the cleaning specialist can manufacture its products entirely in the North-East.
It will also create 10 new jobs for the area.
2Pure Products produces OdorBac Tec4, a patented odour eliminator and multi-purpose cleaner for the commercial cleaning market.
Commercial director of 2Pure James Law said: “Since the business was established we have had a vision to manufacture, bottle and distribute direct from the North-East, as this is where the product was originally born.
“We knew that it would take time to achieve this. However our products have been so well received that we have taken the decision to make the move now.
“We feel this is a very positive step for the company and the region, as it will not only create and secure jobs, but will also allow us to begin exporting our products internationally in the near future.”
2Pure products work by changing the molecular structure of an odour to eliminate the smell.
They are also environmentally friendly and non-irritant, Mr Law said:
“The fact that all of our products are non-hazardous makes them a great option for those who suffer allergies or are keen to reduce their impact on the environment by reducing the amount of toxic chemicals they
use.”
MP for Hexham Guy Opperman recently visited the new, 20 acre Prudhoe premises.
He said: “I was extremely impressed with the company’s vision for growth and it was fantastic to receive an insight into 2Pure Products’ operations.
“To have such an innovative product created and manufactured here in the North-East is a huge achievement and I am very excited to see what the future holds for the business.”
