WE asked our readers if they had experienced issues with receiving parcels due to be delivered by Royal Mail, which has come under fire for poor performance.
The business is under investigation by the communications regulator Ofcom after missing delivery targets.
Here's what readers said.
Pam Heppell said: "Just to make it clear, this is not a local problem this is a national problem. We locally deliver everything we are sent to deliver, delivery targets that are not met are a Royal Mail issue."
She added: "I feel we do a great job here locally and most of us go above and beyond our job roles as a posty."
David Carter said he had not experienced any problems getting deliveries in Prudhoe, and Derek Cross also said his parcels had all been delivered on time.
Stephnie Fathers commented: "Over three weeks ago a very important letter posted first class to me in the village I live five miles from has never arrived."
Paul Robbie said: "Terrible service for the price. The local guys are great and go the extra mile but the whole service is run on a shoestring with an ever-increasing cost of postage. We are using email or text reminders more now to replace snail mail where we can."
Fran Mcgurk said: "Two birthday cards for my granddaughter did not arrive."
