62 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Northumberland within the latest 24 hours.
News of the additional cases in the region means the total number of cases since the pandemic began within Northumberland now stands at 18,322.
The 62 cases figure is up slightly compared to yesterday’s statistics released by the government, which showed 56 cases had been confirmed in the previous 24-hour period across the county.
Within our area, a total of nine wards feature on the county’s worse affected list today (Thursday).
These include:
Prudhoe South – 14 cases
Hexham Central with Acomb – 11 cases
Ponteland North – 8 cases
Hexham West – 8 cases
Ponteland West – 7 cases
Prudhoe South with Heddon – 7 cases
Longhorsley – 7 cases
Hexham East – 6 cases
Bywell – 6 cases
Nobody has died in Northumbria Helthcare hospitals within the latest 24 hour period, meaning the death toll remains at 731.
