WE shared the news that a business owner said he was 'absolutely delighted' to be nominated Trader of the Week.

Andrew Cogan, of the i-Save store in Haltwhistle, has owned the shop for approximately six years.

i-Save stocks frozen food, groceries, confectionery, pharmaceuticals, DIY, and stationery products. It branched out into selling frozen food six months ago.

Andrew, who lives in Haltwhistle, employs two staff to support him in the shop.

i-Save, like others around the region, had to change how it operated to keep in line with Covid-19 regulations and as a result decided to start offering a delivery service to customers in the local area.

Our readers congratulated Andrew on his 'well deserved' nomination.

Catherine Batey said: "Well deserved Andrew. Well done," and Nannie Philipson said it was 'excellent' news.

Carole Cowen Gradwell, Karen Saxon and Liz Bright also congratulated Andrew.

Other readers including Fiona Walker, Joanne Ridgway Ferguson and June Reed all said the award was 'well deserved'.
