GOLFERS from the district will tee off in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance on Friday.
Stewart Bailey’s annual golf day raised over £7,400 for the vital lifesaving service, at Slaley Hall last year.
This time around the event, which has toured around the North-East over the past 11 years, will take place at Linden Hall near Morpeth.
Up to 20 teams of four were expected to line up, including several players from the Tyne Valley.
Despite the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, the event has been generously backed by businesses.
Stewart said: “Our golf day was originally due to take place in June. We could have postponed it, but we’re looking forward to going ahead for a vital cause which relies entirely on donations.”
