Newcastle United produced a phenomenal, record-breaking performance as they hit Sheffield United for eight at Bramall Lane last Sunday.
Eddie Howe's side had rediscovered the defensive form that made them so well last season with clean sheets against Brentford and AC Milan in their last two outings, but they would produce an unstoppable attacking display on Sunday afternoon.
The Toon registered eight different goal-scorers without reply to inflict the Blades' worst-ever home defeat.
Howe made four changes from the side that drew in Milan, as Elliot Anderson replaced Sandro Tonali in midfield, with the front three all rotated.
Callum Wilson came in for Alexander Isak up top, while Miguel Almiron and Harvey Barnes started on the wings in place of Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon.
However, Gordon would replace the stricken Barnes early on and produced one of his best performances in a Newcastle shirt to date.
The winger was vital in the opener, cutting the ball back for Sean Longstaff to slam home.
Kieran Trippier then notched two assists in quick succession, as Dan Burn headed home his corner before Sven Botman glanced in his free-kick to make it 3-0 before half-time.
Another cross from Trippier supplied Wilson with the fourth as Sheffield United collapsed in the second 45.
Gordon got the goal his performance deserved as he curled home brilliantly from outside the box for five before Guimaraes slipped in Almiron to make it six with his first of the season.
The Brazilian maestro managed one of his own after more woeful defending from the hosts, while Isak came off the bench to put the cherry on top, capitalising on a horrendous back pass from Tom Davies to slam home.
It could and perhaps should have been more for Newcastle, as they proved that Champions League football arguably won't have too much impact on their domestic form this season.
The Toon face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday at St James' Park in their next fixture, and Pep Guardiola's side have every reason to be worried after such an electric display from Newcastle last time out.
